The Challenge

National School of Government (NSG) as mandated by the Public Service Act, 1994 and the Public Administration Management Act, 2014, to provide accredited and nonaccredited education, training, and development (ETD) programmes to build a capable, ethical, and developmental state.

This project will be undertaken in accordance with inputs of the curriculum review process for Advanced Diploma in Public Sector Management and Governance.

A project team/Panel of Experts will review these curriculum inputs and ensure full alignment of the programme/qualification with the Council on Higher Education’s (CHE) Programme Accreditation Criteria, as outlined in the CHE’s Criteria for Programme Accreditation (2013) and the Higher Education Qualifications Sub-Framework (HEQSF).

This alignment process will confirm that the qualification meets the required standards for academic coherence, relevance,articulation, NQF level appropriateness, and responsiveness to the needs of the public service.

The project team/panel’s guidance will be critical in finalising the qualification for formal submission to the CHE for accreditation.
